College Computing Requirements - Software
Software need not be purchased before classes begin; specific needs will be discussed during class times. Before purchasing any software, verify needs with the professor.
Texas A&M University has licensing agreements with a number of companies, which allows software to be sold to students at special reduced prices. Detailed information about Texas A&M University's software licensing and pricing agreements may be found at http://cis.tamu.edu.
Below is a list of software commonly used by most Architecture students and shows where available and competitive prices as of June 2006.
CCV Software requires students to prove their status as a student by emailing or faxing a copy of their current university ID card.
Certain courses may require specific software packages that are not commonly available. Instructors, in cooperation with the College's computer support services, will make arrangements for students to access these software packages for the duration of the course.
