ONGOING EXHIBITS

A Evening with D-maso Rodriguez ('96)
January 29, 2009, 7:30pm; Fallout Theatre (Blocker 140);
The Department of Performance Studies will host “An Evening with Dámaso Rodriquez ‘96” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 29) in the Fallout Theatre (Blocker 140). Rodriguez is the associate artistic director of the Pasadena Playhouse, co-founder and producing director of Furious Theatre Company, a Pasadena Playhouse resident artist and a Theatre Arts alumnus. This event will follow an “Inside the Actors Studio” format with a question and answer session moderated by Roger Schultz. As a theater arts major at Texas A&M, Rodriguez directed the campus improvisational comedy group, Freudian Slip. “During my time at A&M I was encouraged to learn and experience all aspects of theatre production including set construction, dramaturgy, marketing, audience development, acting and directing,” said Rodriguez. “By having a background in all aspects of live performance, I was better prepared to make my way as a theatre professional.”
