The Creative Phtograph in Archaeology
August 27 - October 7; Wright Gallery, Langford Building A, Texas A&M University;

From the Traveling Photographers of the 19th Century to the Creative Photography of the 20th
- This exhibit includes 76 dramatic black and white framed prints featuring Greek antiquities that have been produced from
high resolution scans of the original negatives, spanning 150 years from the first photographic attempts of the early travelers
in the 19th century through the sophisticated work of the late 20th to early 21st century. Organized by the Benaki Museum, Athens,
in collaboration with Fairfield University in Connecticut, the exhibit is sponsored by the J. Wayne Stark Galleries at Texas
A&M University, the College of Architecture, the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research, and the College Station
Society of the Archaeological Institute of America

The Ahn Trio with The Kin
Tuesday, September 29; 7:30pm; Rudder Auditorium, Texas A&M University;
MSC OPAS presents Lucia, Angella and Marcha, the stunning Julliard-educated sisters who make up
the international sensation known as THE AHN TRIO, thrive on dissolving barriers between art forms. Their quest to redefine
the art and architecture of classical music has resulted in critical praise for collaborations with dancers, pop singers,
painters and photographers. Even though their breathtaking beauty has landed them in magazines like Vogue, GQ and People, the
Ahn's first priority is their music. For this season's opening concert, they will perform selections from their latest album
Lullaby for My Favorite Insomniac. Mixing it up a bit, they will also be joined onstage by Thorry and Isaac Koren, the
handsome harmonizing Australian brothers better known as THE KIN.

Art 21 Film

The first in a series of three pre-broadcast screenings of 3 episodes about contemporary art, hosted by PBS. The second
and third screenings are scheduled for Monday, October 5 and Monday October 12.

Terra Cotta Warriors Field Trip
Saturday, September 26; 8am-3pm; Houston Museum of Natural Science;
In this exciting all day event, students have the opportunity to visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science to
experience the internationally renowned exhibition,Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China’s First Emperor. Named one of the top
five must see exhibitions by Time Magazine, the exhibition includes more than 100 artifacts from the tomb complex of Emperor Qin Shi
Huangdi. Don’t miss the chance to see one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century!
