10 YEARS & 9 DAYS
October 18, 2006
One of our own TAMU College of Architecture former student, Bradley Angell, has made a feature length independent film, "10 Years & 9 Days." There will be a private screening exclusively for AIAS members on October 18, 2006 at 7:45 PM in Langford C105.
This film is about how communities respond to civic tragedy with architectural expression. It begins with Aggieland's most famous tragedy - Bonfire - and then examines existing architectural expressions in Berlin, Germany Isla Vista, California and at the Burning Man Festical in Black Rock Desert, Nevada. Modernism, Globalism, Postmodernism, Germans, Aggies, Surfers - they are all brought together to challenge our deepest feelings of loss and guide us toward the hope of communal redemption.
