Dr. Duffy is Professor and past Director of Training of the doctoral program in counseling psychology at Texas A&M University. His research includes intergenerational family relations, geriatric crisis management, mental health in long term care, behavioral effects of environmental design in geriatric facilities, religious dimensions of psychotherapy, developmental psychotherapy and personality styles of psychotherapists. Dr. Duffy has a special interest in the design of nursing homes and conducts research in the behavioral and psychological effects of architectural design.
