CHSD Dissertation Grants

Thanks to a generous gift from Nurture by Steelcase, this new program will annually award up to $10,000 in one or more grants to doctoral students with a healthcare topic and a CHSD Faculty Fellow as one of their dissertation committee members.

Eligibility: Doctoral students in the College of Architecture who have completed their coursework, passed the written and oral components of the Preliminary Examination, have an approved dissertation proposal with a healthcare-related topic, and a CHSD Faculty Fellow as one of their dissertation committee members.
Submission Requirements:The submission shall include 1) a one-page resume, 2) a copy of the approved dissertation proposal, and 3) a description, of no more than three pages, of the need for funding of the dissertation. The three pages must include a budget.
Deadline for Submissions: Submissions must be received in the CHSD office (in Williams 002). The 2007-2008 deadline is Monday, October 15th, 2007.
Selection: Selection of the winning submission, or submissions, by the CHSD Council and the announcement will occur in the second week of the fall semester.
