Karasulu Appointed to FASA Board of Directors
Yilmaz H. Karasulu, assistant professor of construction science, was recently
appointed to the board of directors of the Foundation of the American Subcontractors
Association, Inc.
The ASA is a non-profit, national, membership trade association of 5,500 subcontractors,
specialty trade contractors and suppliers in the construction industry. The
organization is recognized as a united voice dedicated to improving the business
environment in the construction industry. Its mission is to amplify the voice
of trade contractors and lead them to improve the business environment for
the construction industry and to serve as a steward for the community.
Karasulu, who joined the Department of Construction Science at Texas A&M
in 2005, is interested in construction materials and methods, construction
safety, decision making and applied ethics, project controls and computer and
artificial intelligence applications in construction management.
He hold a Ph.D. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University,
and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Turkey.
