King Endowment for Student Research
The Jonathan King Endowed Memorial
Scholarship for Student Research is awarded annually to an outstanding undergraduate
(junior or senior classification) or graduate student who is pursuing a degree
from the Texas A&M College of Architecture. The preferred recipient will
pursue at least one supervised research project in the CRS Center. Currently,
this award includes a $1,000 scholarship. The recipient is announced at the
annual Rowlett Lecture and the award is given at the student's departmental
annual awards banquet.
Students who are interested in the King Scholarship should apply at the Dean's
Office, College of Architecture, after classes begin each January, using the
application form provided by the Dean's Office.
This fund was established through the generosity of Jonathan King's many friends
and professional associates and of Cynthia (Toni) King and her family. It will
be known in perpetuity as the Jonathan King Memorial Student Research Endowment. The endowment will help to perpetuate Jonathan King's dedication to involving
interested and talented students in leading edge architectural research for
the benefit of the built environment and the profession.
