This site is compatible with Internet Explorer 4.0+ and
Netscape Navigator 4.0x+ browsers. It is best viewed at 800x600 screen
resolution at 16bit color depth. To navigate the site use the index
to the left in the blue frame. The following is a breakdown of the site structure:
Maps - Self explanatory, however,
it should be noted that if you plan to make a hardcopy of these maps
please download the EPS version locally and make your printouts from
that. The online versions are low-quality and should be regarded as
preview images only.
Products - This is mainly a
departmental link, however, it has been opened to the public so that
you can see some of the developments being made with readiness software.
Operations
(Requires password) - The operations page contains information related to
active storm(s) in the Gulf. During an operation (when there is a storm
system in the Gulf) this page is updated every 6 hours (based on the latest
advisory issued by the NHC).
Related
Links - A website would not be complete without one of these
sections. We are sure you will find ours of interest though. We have provided
links to in-state as well as out-of-state resources that should provide
an answer to any question you may have.
