Profile

Dr. Anderson joined the department in the spring of 2008 as an executive associate professor for the Master of Science in Land Development program. Dr. Anderson has more than 25 years experience in the real estate industry as senior management for both production homebuilding and for land acquisition and development companies. Since 2003, Dr. Anderson has been self employed in the land development industry in Dallas, Texas.

Kent’s teaching interests are residential land development, income property development, entitlement and due diligence, and site analysis and construction for land development. His research interests are in municipal utility districts, water rights and regulation, and infrastructure finance.
