Profile
Dr. Rogers is Program Coordinator of Ph.D. program in Urban and Regional
Science, and a Professor of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning
and a Senior Faculty Fellow of the Hazard Reduction and Recovery Center
at Texas A&M University. He has conducted extensive research on human
response to risk and hazards and is currently interested in behavioral
aspects of sustainability and the dynamics of risk perception. His current
work on impact assessment and sustainability focuses on organizational
and human behavior. Previous work in this area addressed issues such
as community impact, environmental justice, the conditions of acceptability,
social and economic impacts of potentially contentious facilities, and
the relationship between development and the environment.
