President
Chung-Chih (Wind) Huang (黃仲志)
Mr. Huang is a registered landscape architect in the state of
Texas. He is a co-founder of HHL Group, Inc., a planning ad landscape architecture
firm practicing in both China and USA. His areas of interest include health
community for the elderly, resort design and development as well as business
development in green industry. Mr. Huang received his B.S. in urban and regional
planning from the National Chen-Kung University. From 1992 to 1993, he worked
in the urban design section of the Taipei City. Mr. Huang then went to the
United States and enrolled in the MLA program at Texas A&M University.
Since graduating in 1997, he had worked for SLA Studio Land, TBG Partners
and HOK planning group. While working in HOK Hong Kong offices, he had participated
various projects in China. He also has a certificate in video and animation
computer technologies. Currently he is working as a development project manager
on a high-rise/mix-use project in Houston metropolitan area.

Peiwen Yu (俞沛雯)
Ms.
Yu is a landscape designer with SWA Group since 2002, previously a
landscape designer with EDAW, San
Francisco. She earned her MLA degree from Texas A&M
University in 2002, a master
degree in Urban Planning and Design (2000) and a bachelor degree in
Architecture (1997) both from Tsinghua
University in China. Before came to US, Ms.
Yu involved in many urban design/historical preservation projects in China.
Since joined SWA, she has been working on a variety of community planning
and design projects in the U.S.
and China.
She has particular interest in urban design and communities planning that
are environmentally and culturally sensitive.

Sirun Guan (關思潤)
Ms. Guan earned her BA in urban
planning from Tongi
University in 1997, and later
graduated from University
of Kansas with a MA
degree of urban planning-transportation in 2001. She has worked as planner
for Kundson & Associates of Houston
and Fleilich, Leitener
& Carlisle (FLC) of Kansas City, and is
now an associate at The Goodman Corporation (TGC) of Houston.

Chao-Yuan (Jeff) Hsiao (蕭兆元)
Mr. Hsiao is currently pursuing his PhD from Texas A&M
University. He holds
a MLA degree from the University
of Texas at Arlington,
and a bachelor’s degree from National
Taiwan University.
He worked for Wallace Roberts & Todd (WRT) Dallas office and Clark Condon Associates
of Houston. Besides his academic pursuit, Mr. Hsiao is also active in
international design competitions.

Shaobo Du ()
Ms.
Du is a landscape designer with TBG Partners since 2004. She earned her
MLA degree from Texas A&M University in 2004, a bachelor degree in
Architecture (2001) from Shenyang Architecture University in China. Since
joined TBG Partners, she has been working on a variety of community planning
and urban design projects in both U.S. and China.

Rui Zhang (張銳)
Ms. Zhang is currently a graduate student in Master of Landscape
Architecture program in Texas
A&M University.
She earned a Bachelor degree in Urban Planning from Tongji University in 1999. From 1999 to
2001, she worked for the Tongji Urban planning
& Design Institute as an urban planner and designer. Later she went to
the United States
and is pursuing her MLA now.

Chang-Shan Huang(黃常山)
Dr. Chang-Shan Huang is an associate professor of landscape architecture of
the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning, College of
Architecture, Texas A&M University. He is a registered landscape
architect in the State of Texas.
He received his Ph.D. from the University
of Pennsylvania, MLA from the Pennsylvania State
University, and a bachelor degree
in architecture from Tsinghua
University, Beijing, China.
His current scholarly interests are in the areas of healthy community
design, urban design, evidence-based design methodology, and design
communication.
Ching-Fung
Lin (林慶豐)
Mr. Lin is the founder of M2L Associates Inc., a planning and landscape
architecture firm. He has multi-disciplinary planning and design experience
in regional/community planning, urban design, landscape design,
transportation planning, as well as social service planning for the
elderly. Mr. Lin's experience in the United States covers seventeen
different states. His international practice encompasses China, Taiwan,
Hong Kong, Malaysia,
Philippines, Japan, Korea,
England, Ireland and Paraguay. In addition to
planning and design, Lin is an expert in office and project management. He
has developed a proprietary office management database system for
management of design companies.
Ming Zhang (張明)
Dr. Ming Zhang is Assistant Professor in the
Community and Regional Planning Program at the University of Texas at
Austin. His research and teaching interests include urban land use-transportation
planning, urban form and travel behavior, and GIS. Prior to joining UT
Austin, he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture & Urban
Planning at Texas A&M University (2001-04), Research Scientist at
the Rockefeller Institute of Government in Albany, New York (1994-96),
and Lecturer and Licensed Planner/Designer at the Huazhong University
of Science & Technology (China) (1988-93). Dr. Zhang holds the degrees
of Ph.D. and M. S. (Transportation) from MIT, M. Regional Planning from
SUNY Albany, and B. Arch. from Tsinghua University, Beijing.
Huan Rong (容歡)
Ms Rong earned her BLA from Beijing Forestry
University in 1984.
From 1996 to 1998, she worked for China Academy of Urban Planning and
Design, National Park and Historic Site Research Planning and Design
Institute. Later, she went to the United
States and got her MLA degree from the Ohio State University
in 1988. Since then, Ms Rong has worked for
different design firms, including SWA Group, Peter Poon
Architect (New York City), Landplan Engineers, Inc. (Lawrence,
KS), and Bullock Smith & Partners (Knoxville, TN).
Ms. Rong is currently a landscape architect in
the SWA Group Sausalito office, taking charge of the Asia
market.
Joseph Chow (周彩庭)
Mr. Chow has almost 30 years of progressively responsible experience with
the Planning and Development Department of the City of Houston, Texas. He
is retired from the City of Houston
Planning and Development Department as an
associate director.
(Student Representative) Baoliang Liu
Mr. Liu is currently a graduate student in Urban and
Regional Science Program
at Texas A&M University. He received his B.S. in urban and regional
planning
from the Shandong Institute of Architecture and Engineering in 1996. From
1996 to 1998, he worked for the Zibo Architecture Design and Research
Institute. Later he earned a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Tongji
University in 2001. Mr. Liu then came to the United States and is currently
pursuing his Ph.D. degree.
