TEACHING

My teaching interests have varied from a PhD level seminar which investigated the ontological, epistemological, and methodological foundations of research in architecture to design to a course in the economics of building. Pedagogically, I have been focusing on increasing my capability to teach using student-centered, active learning processes. Philosophically, I have been trying to understand and teach theories of practice as well as to develop in students an appreciation for the difficulties of applying those theories in everyday practice.
