| Requests for slides to be added to the collection are welcome from College of Architecture (CARC) faculty. Requests should be made at least one semester in advance and limited to 36 slides per semester. See the curator for more details and to pick up a request form.
Donations of slides are appreciated, but they must meet certain standards, including quality, coverage, and demand before being added to the collection.
Copyright laws. This collection contains copyrighted slides and duplication of them is a violation of federal copyright laws. Any form of slide reproduction from this collection is prohibited.

Returned slides will be checked in and refiled by the slide room staff.
Inventory. At the end of each semester, inventory is taken and overdue notices are sent for missing slides. A replacement charge of $5.00 per slide will be assessed for lost or damaged slides.
Using slides off campus. Faculty requesting permission to use slides for lectures given off campus should make requests to the curator at least two weeks in advance. Loans of this nature will be allowed only if they do not interfere with the current teaching program.

Since the slide collection is primarily a support resource for faculty within the College, college faculty will have first priority in the collection at all times. Slide borrowing is limited to two students at any one time using the collection. Whole classes of students cannot be accommodated in the slide collection since this would cause a depletion of necessary resources. Students are advised to make appointments to use the collection.
Restrictions. Students may borrow slides only for presentations. They may check out a maximum of 25 slides for the time of the presentation only. No overnight checkout for students is allowed. Slides may be selected and reserved for up to one week in advance of checkout.
Circulation form. Borrowed slides must be recorded on a form signed by the student and by the instructor of the class for which the presentation is prepared. This form and the student's ID will be held while the slides are out.
Circulation period. All slides must be returned immediately following their use.
Fine. A replacement charge of $5.00 per slide will be assessed for lost or damaged slides.
